How do I attach encrypted files to my notes?

You can use the Files feature available on web, desktop, and mobile, to upload files of any format to your account and attach them to notes. Files are end-to-end encrypted using the same technology powering the encryption of your notes.

  1. On your current note, click or tap on the chain icon to access the Linking Menu.
  2. Click or tap on Upload and link file(s), then navigate to the file(s) you want to attach to the note.

You can also choose to upload a file directly to your account storage without attaching it directly to a note:

  1. Click or tap on the Files view in the Navigation Panel.
  2. Click or tap on the Plus button, and select the file you wish to upload to your storage.
  3. If you'd like to attach a newly uploaded file, or other existing file onto a note, you can use the search bar found in the Linking Menu described previously.

If you have a paid subscription, you can also use the Super note type to embed your attached files directly into your note! Just type "@" to bring up the autocomplete dropdown list, then begin typing in the name of the file you want to attach. Once you see the file in the dropdown list, select it to embed the file into your note.
